The European External Action Service (EEAS) Russian Division has acknowledged AALEP-GR LEAGUE Joint Resolution that was transmitted to the President of the European Commission, Mr. Jean Claude Juncker and points out the following:

1. The AALEP-GR League Joint Resolution raises important issues related to the interaction between the EU and the Russian Federation.
2. Russia remains of strategic importance for the EU.
3. When conditions allow, we must rethink our relations with Russia realistically and in full light of EU interest and values.
4. Steps toward rebuilding trust should be taken on both sides, in a gradual and selective manner, commensurate with Russia's response, particularly with regard to the full implementation of the Minsk Agreement with regard to Ukraine.
5. A constructive and predictable relationship between the EU and Russia is possible and desirable and the raprochement should start by settling the Ukrainian conflict to which the EU is fully committed.
