THE EU 6TH PACKAGE OF SANCTIONS

  1. The EU Russian oil embargo will involve phasing out seaborne crude imports within six months and refined product imports by the end of the year.
  2. EU leaders have agreed to exclude pipeline crude supplies from the embargo for an unspecified period.
  3. The Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia have all been granted extra time to phase out their Russian oil imports. The precise timeline for Hungary and Slovakia will be decided at a later date, but in the case of the Czech Republic, it is 18 months. Hungary and the other countries get the time to adapt their infrastructure and invest in refinery capacity. But it is absolutely not indefinite. That's not in the texts.
  4. Germany and Poland, which both take significant amounts of Russian pipeline crude, have pledged to implement the EU's ban regardless of the exemption for pipeline imports.
  5. Russia's largest bank, Sberbank will be cut off from the Swift payment system as well as two other large banks ( Moscow Credit Bank and Rosselkhozbank). 
  6. Three more Russian state-owned broadcasters banned (RTR Planeta, Russia 24 ant TV Centre They will no longer be allowed to distribute their content in the EU in any form
  7. More restrictions will be placed  on high-ranking military and other persons Those who committed war crimes in Bucha and who are responsible for the inhuman siege of Mariupol will be blacklisted. 
  8. Accountants, consultants and political technologists from Europe are prohibited from providing their services to Russian companies,
