1. Individual Restrictive Measures: Asset freeze and travel restrictions.

150 people and 37 Russian entities are subject to an asset freeze and a travel ban over their responsibility for actions which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

On 13 March 2017, the Council prolonged these measures until 15 September 2017.

AALEP MENTOR PROGRAM- LEARN, SUPPORT, GROW

AALEP’s Mentor Program offers new public policy advocates the opportunity to develop one-on-one relationships with accomplished public policy advocates and benefits from their experience. The program serves as a forum for experienced public policy advocates to share their wisdom with new public policy advocates and offer advice and guidance on public policy advocacy issues.

Younger Public Policy Advocates must maintain an active membership status in AALEP for participation in the Mentor Program.

US TRADE POLICY AGENDA FOR 2017

The overarching purpose of US trade policyis to expand trade in a way that is freer and fairer for all Americans. Every action the US takes with respect to trade will be designed to increase US growth, promote job creation in the United States, promote reciprocity with US trading partners, strengthen US manufacturing base and US ability to defend itself, and expand its agricultural and other exports.

In 2015, the EU budget funded NGOs a total amount of € 1.2 billion with more than 90% allocated to the Multiannual Financing Framework (MFF) heading (Global Europe), around 4% to 'Sustainable Growth within natural resources, almost 4% dedicated to 'Security and Citizenship' and less than 0.5% to 'Smart and Inclusive Growth'.

YOUNGER PUBLIC POLICY ADVOCATES NEED A VOICE THAT CAN BE HEARD

As the older generation of public policy advocates is retiring, there is a growing number of younger people (35 and younger ) from the new generation who are shaping the future of public policy advocacy. Indeed, they are dictating the new rules of the public policy advocacy industry.
